Sarah Elcomb working of a sculpture

Sarah Elcomb is a self-taught Sculptor

Working in metal and alloys she uses traditional blacksmithing as well as welding and braising allowing for a variety of techniques.

Sarah has an intuitive approach and draws on memories and emotional connection. Her sculptures capture both strength and fluidity, reflecting her mastery of material and form.

Each piece is a testament to her ability to shape industrial metal into flowing, organic designs that evoke a sense of motion and life.

Sarah's interest in ironwork sculpture started through her husband's work as a farrier.
Steve taught Sarah how to 'move' metal which
opened up a world of possibilities.

A lifelong passion for horses, including a Masters in Equine Science has given Sarah the ability to understand both the movement and the form of the animals she sculpts, translating into metal in a way that has no loss of lightness.
