Sarah Elcomb - Sculptor

Sarah Elcomb is a self taught sculptor based in Oxford North Canterbury.

Working in metal and alloys she uses traditional blacksmithing as well as welding and braising allowing for a variety of techniques.
Sarah has an intuitive approach and draws on past memories and emotional connection. Her sculptures capture both strength and fluidity reflecting her mastery of material and form.

Each piece is a testament to her ability to shape industrial metal into flowing organic designs that evoke a sense of motion and life.

Sarah's interest in ironwork sculpture started through her husband's work as a farrier.
Steve taught Sarah how to 'move' metal which opened up a world of possibilities.
